Machynys
Machynys translates from the Welsh as "Monk's Island" hence the Monks Links championship golf course was built in 2005 with numerous facilities including spa, health club and brasserie which has proved immensely popular with local residents and keen golfers alike.
The Millenium coastal park which runs along the coast of Machynys for 13 miles gives cyclists and hikers the opportunity to take in some outstanding scenery. Situated close by is the award-winning Pentre Nicklaus and Bwlch Y Gwynt developments which boast palm tree lined streets and authentic timber clad New England style houses with panoramic views over the estuary and towards the magnificent Gower Peninsula.

Ferryside
Ferryside is an up and coming coastal village with sandy beaches and lots of rejuvenation projects completed and underway, such as hotels with gym/spa, new restaurants and the reinstated ferry which crosses the Tywi estuary from Ferryside to Llansteffan which also boasts a 12th century castle . The village itself enjoys excellent transport links, including regular trains to London Paddington, Cardiff and Swansea, as well as links to Tenby and Fishguard Harbour.

Burry Port
Home of Burry Port Harbour which was built in the 1830's and was an important coal exporting dock. Now this wonderful location is popular with visitors thanks to the spectacular views of the Gower Peninsular and long sandy beaches. Burry Port Harbour offers a range of places to stop for a bite to eat including Hope and Anchor pub, Joseph's Fish Bar, Caffi Lolfa, and Light Tearoom.

Exit the M4 at junction 48, follow the A4138 into Llanelli and follow the roads sign to your desired destination.
