AGENTIt still surprises me that I found the time to study and work. Somehow though, 15 years passed by, during which I managed to convince a lucky cohort of leading FMCG, pharmaceutical and liquor brands (Warner-lambert/ Pfizer, Cadbury, KWV and Brand House) that they couldn't possibly do without me. Over this time, I rebranded, repackaged, relaunched and reignited my passion for building brands and innovating the products that underpin them. In my spare time, I indulged a personal passion for property investment by buying well, renovating and reselling on Cape Town's Atlantic Seaboard. Around the same time, I convinced one man to marry me and two of the best kids in the world (obviously) to call me mom.
In 2010 life got infinitely better when I swapped Cape Town for Franschhoek, and the rest is history.
Now I live on a farm on the slopes of Mont Rochelle with a birds eye view over Franschhoek. For work, I get to visit some of the most beautiful homes in some of the most breathtaking settings you will ever see. After which, I get to prove my exceptional marketing and sales skills to achieve the difficult task of convincing others to move to paradise... where the lights (sometimes) don't work but the sun (mostly) always shines.
Ten years with Fine & Country Franschhoek has taught me that you can indeed work with friends (Principals Tom & Heidi) and that you can prosper by doing what you love and are good at. Of course, it's easier if you can laugh at yourself along the way.
