I was born in Ficksburg where I completed my school career. The year after I voluntarily joined the Nation Defense Forces and completed a year of service after which I completed a diploma course at the Technicon OFS as a Legal Secretary where I also met my late husband. After our marriage, we moved back to Ficksburg where he opened an accounting practice. I was very privileged to have reared my children myself; a daughter who obtained a BSc-Ed degree and a son who completed his B-Comm CA.
After qualifying, I started working in Bloemfontein for Bowing Barclays, the insurance side of the previous Barclays Bank. When my children left home, I started working for my husband in his practice where I worked until after his death, and until I proudly joined the Fine and Country team in Bethlehem on the 1 August 2022.
