Oystermouth Castle

Oystermouth Castle was founded by William De Londres, is one of the finest castles situated on the Gower peninsular with exceptional views overlooking the beautiful Swansea Bay and village of Mumbles. The earliest building remains at Oystermouth Castle, the keep in the central block which dates back to the 12th century. The Mumbles Pier is a family run business and has been part of Swansea since 1898. This Victorian pier is a grade ll listed structure and is an impressive 255m long. This seaside attraction once was Mumbles railway station and has since seen many changes. whilst visiting you can enjoy spectacular sea views, amusement arcade, or explore the wonderful rock pools on the south facing sandy beach. Here you can enjoy a bite to eat at the Beach Hut Café, or The Copperfish Restaurant for traditional fish & chips.

Car

Exit the M4 at junction 42, merge onto the A483, merge onto the A4067 and follow the road signs to Mumbles.
