The vast tidal Blue Flag West Bay is a real focal point in Westgate and is a magnet for families with its long promenade, beach huts, cafe and impressive restaurant. On the clifftops and round to St Mildred’s Bay are attractive blocks of apartments with wonderful views as well as detached and semi-detached properties, all enjoying the panoramic vista. The town developed in the Victorian era and still includes many properties from that time as well as a unique parade of canopied shops selling an eclectic mix of interesting items as well as cafes and a small supermarket.

Road transport links provide easy access to Canterbury and London, while the high speed train from Westgate station will whisk you to St Pancras in just over an hour and a half.
